Profile
Mr Hemant Vadeyar is a Consultant General and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgeon at the North Manchester General Hospital. He graduated from the University of Mumbai in India and also completed his Masters Degree in General Surgery from the same University. He trained in Surgical Oncology at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai and then underwent training in Therapeutic Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at the University Hospital of Hamburg, Germany.
In the UK, he trained in general, laparoscopic and hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery in Nottingham and Leicester and in liver transplantation at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. He was appointed to his current Consultant post in 2001.
He undertakes all general surgical procedures and his major interest is in disorders of the liver, gallbladder, biliary tract and pancreas. He is also particularly interested in laparoscopic surgery and in therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy including ERCPs.
